It was begun by and named after its owner late Electra Daskalakis – Panteloglou. The main building was designed in the Greek modern-neoclassical style by the topographer engineer George Plastargias. It has undergone multiple minor renovations over the years, and in 2019 it was redesigned by renowned architect Penny Petrakou and civil engineer Stelios Loulourgas and has been completely and attentively restored retained much of its rustic charm.
